My Writing

In class we have been learning about recount writing, we had to write a recount about a holiday here is mine:

It was only a few minutes before midnight on the 31st of december. I was waiting on the couch at home with dad preparing for the countdown. It was getting close to the countdown and I was really excited.

My dad and I were setting up for a tiny new years party. I brought out my computer so we could watch something before the countdown. I also had a new years timer open on my computer so we could tell when we needed to start the video. Dad turned on the TV and switched it to the right channel for the live countdown. We were now ready for the countdown so we slipped on our party crowns.

It was time to watch the video on Netflix, the video was Skylanders New Years which is only available at the end of the year. We played the video It was cool and it was played with perfect timing. We watched the video and prepared for the countdown at the end. I had my hooter in my mouth, then the countdown began and I yelled the numbers out. 10… 9… 8… 7… 6… it was slightly muffled.

5… 4… 3… 2… 1… the countdown finished and I shouted “HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!”. After the shout I blew my hooter like crazy until I ran out of breath. I quickly regained my breath and blew my hooter like crazy again. Then we watched the fireworks on TV. The fireworks were really pretty and lit up the sky on the first few minutes of the new year.

After all that it was time for bed I did my eye drops, brushed my teeth and went to the toilet. After that it was time to catch some zzz's so I snuggled into bed and went to sleep. In the morning I woke up to a new day in a new year.

That was fun and I would love to do it again any day of the year.

Reflection on work:

I think that I created an interesting piece of writing because it has lots of story to it so people know exactly what I did.

For next time I could spend more time on the conclusion

In my writing, I would like to improve on coming up with ideas on what to write

In maths

this is a graph that I made for maths using dragon cards. We have been doing statistics in maths all term. I have learned about box and whisker graphs and done some work on it. this term has been jam packed but it has also been fun.

At Music

yesterday we climbed on stage and started doing practice on the stage, we practised twice then we wrote our blogs.

1. It's ok and every one is getting better.
2. I need to work on my stage fright.
3. A bit of both but mostly nervous.

in forensic science

In science we have been doing forensics science and have do some cool activity's. we have burned fabric, moulded hands, used microscopes, looked at ink spread apart and finger printing. we did fun activity's where we made cool looking items. I had a lot of fun doing it and I did it all with my buddy David.

We put finger prints on a balloon using coco powder and baby powder and inflated it.
We put all our finger prints on a page and then identified it.
