Michael Morpurgo was born 5th October 1943. He writes passionate stories, he has one older brother. Also he wrote one of the books that I have read, war horse. He is a well known author and has written over 100 books.

Analysis
Michael probably used the colours on the front of the book because they help to show that it is dusk or dawn. Also the title goes with the picture because it gives you the aspect of a crook able to tame and ride a horse.
