Designing The Layout Of A Classroom

Recently our brand new classes were finished and we moved into them yesterday. The math classroom had moved and the teacher asked us to create a design process about how we would lay out the room.

The Brief:
How could you rearrange the room.

Research:
There are 24 small blue desks.
There are two tall whiteboard tables.
One cupboard, Tv, and computer table.
And lastly two whiteboards.
we need to account for doors and windows.

Ideas:
Here are some ideas we came up with.

Final Idea:
This is our final idea, the one we liked the most.

Evaluation:
In my opinion it was a really good design, the chairs and tables don't look like they would get in each other's way. The whiteboard and TV are easy to see, and There are a lot of different numbers of tables in a clump for different people. the desks don't get in the way of the doors, so people can get in and out.
What do you think?

    1. Hello Liam,
thank you for your comment, I didn't add those kinds of things because they were on the wall and don't affect people's learning.

  2. Hi Thomas Ruby here
Good job on your blog post.
I like how the second photo is easy to see, I can't really see the first photo clearly even if I do click on it, maybe thats something to change? (Up to you)
Also next time maybe for your research you could add in some examples of some classroom lay outs that inspired you?
    Anyway good job

  4. Hello Thomas, I really like how you have explained it all clearly and you have shown us your ideas. Maybe next time you could move the last paragraph down more so it is inline. I think you have done a great post Thomas.

  5. Hey Thomas. I like the way your post is laid out and follows the design process clearly.
I think your post would benefit from showing what you found out when researching the different classroom layouts . You could include screen shots and comments on these and explain how they helped inform your own ideas.
