A 30sec Self Directed Film

In english we have been making our own 30 second films, in five groups we chose topics and started planning. I don't know much about the planning because I was doing something else but I can tell you about other things. I being the main actor had the most important part, if I wasn't there the film would have been a disaster. I had to steal a book and get caught! I know so cool, be amazed. We filmed six different scenes the last one was me being caught, I wanted to hit the librarian with a book though. The editing took a while but we ended up with a great film, it had great music too. Actually never mind the editors failed ha ha ha hee.
hopefully you like it because I did but don't anymore.

Oh questions:
  • What am I learning?
About making films.
  • How does this work show my learning?
it has the finished product.
  • What am I wondering as a result of this learning?
how long it takes to make an hour and a half film, this took three weeks.

Design A Math Game

In math we realized that we didn't know very many math words or synonyms for plus, minus, multiply and divide. To fix this we made word clouds and games:

Here is the slide with the word clouds:

And here's our slide for the game this includes all the planning and ideas:
We were using the design process, starting  with the brief then you research, come up with ideas, make it and finally evaluate.

Calculating Squares On A Grid

In math we have been learning how to calculate the number of squares on the outside of a 10x10 grid. We have been figuring out ways to figure out the number of squares on the outside of a grid. I will explain two ways to do it, a complex way and a easy way.
First the Complex way:

Find the total number of squares by timesing one side by the other side. Then remove the squares around the outside and times the new side by the other new side. Afterwards minus the smaller number from the bigger number and you have your answer. You can do algebra by changing the ten to n and the 8 to n-2.
Now the easy way:

If the sides are 10 then you can times them by four then you can minus four this works on any number. See told you it was easy, you can also do algebra with this one by changing it to 4n which means 10+10+10+10 minus four.
Now you know how to calculate the square on the outside of a grid, so tell all your friends and act like a nerd if you want to. Also comment any other ways you can think of doing it.

Setting in Coraline

We're STILL doing film study in English because topics take a while, which is why we only have five this year. This time I had to make a Digital Poster showing the settings in Coraline.
And the famous Questions:

What am I learning?
About the importance of setting in a film.

How does this work show my learning?
Because I would need a reasonably good understanding of setting if I were to make anything decent.

What am I wondering as a result of this learning?
Would it ruin the movie if the real world was somewhere warm and tropical.

Coraline kahoot

In English....

We are still doing film study, but I made a Kahoot for one of the tasks and I have no idea how to make it public....

here is the link, go play it.....

and now the QUESTIONS mwahahahaha

What am I learning?
Stuff about film study.

How does this work show my learning?
Because I would have to know the shots and the names of the shots to do this.

What am I wondering as a result of this learning?
Why is film study so hard? My brain is frying.

Maori Law In New Zealand

In Social Studies we have been learning about government, we had to make a presentation about a government of our choice. here is mine I know it is short but it tells you everything.
