Activity 1: Ready to Roll
In the 1970s one of the most common television programmes was called ‘Ready to Roll.’ It was broadcast on Saturday afternoons and hosted by a man named Roger Gascoigne. During the show, Roger would introduce music videos and then play them for the TV audience. He also invited famous people to come onto the show and perform songs that were currently popular.
Watch the following three clips that were shown on the Ready to Roll programme:
When you have finished, rank the clips in order from your most favourite (#1) to your least favourite (#3). Post your rankings on your blog.
I liked Ray Columbus and the Invaders because I liked the lyrics better than the rest.
Hi there Thomas,
ReplyDeleteGood to see you've completed another activity. Good job! That's awesome to hear that enjoyed listening to the music in the activity. They’re all quite similar but very different in sound. I would agree with you that Ray Columbus and the Invaders were my top pick out of the three clips as well!
Could you tell me more about why you ranked each clip in that order? How did each clip make you feel when you were listening to them? I really liked listening to Ray Columbus because of how up-bat and energetic the band was. Plus the song was also very catchy!
Looking forward to hearing what you thought about them! Keep up the good work Thomas. :)
Bye for now,
Jade F :)
