Summer Learning Journey day 4

Activity 1: Moana

In late 2016, the movie Moana was released by Disney. It’s a beautiful story about a young Polynesian girl from the fictional island of Motunui, who goes on a big adventure.

Watch the trailer for Moana and then write a summary of the movie on your blog. If you’ve seen the movie, you can include your favourite part! Tell us as much as you can about the movie. What is it about? Who are the main characters in the movie? What do they do in the movie? Where do they go?

Moana is a movie that is mainly water and sailing, the main characters neet to put the heart rock back. The main characters are Maui and Moana. In the movie Maui takes the heart of Tefeti and enflick darkness on the world as he was escaping he was hit down by a lava monster and loses his hook and the heart stone. Moana sails to find Maui, she finds maui and they sail across the sea to restore the heart of Tefeti. On the way they are attacked by others who want the stone, when they make it Tefeti was missing and she was a monster. They gave her back her heart stone and everything was restored.

  1. Hey Thomas,

This is Jade C from the Sumer Learning Journey blogging team. It's great to read another blog post of yours. We are having lovely sunny and warm weather here in Auckland. How was your weekend?

I really liked the movie Moana, my family and I went to the cinemas to watch it. I loved how there were lots of singing throughout the film. Do you have your favourite Moana song? I like "You're welcome" song the best! It's very catchy and very easy to sing along with the music! Did you have any scene that you liked the best? I really liked the part when Maui kept throwing Moana in the sea and the sea lifted her back on the boat!

Well done for completing another week 4 activity! Summer Learning Journey is already coming to an end, you have done a great job over the past few weeks. However, it's not over yet so keep up the great work! I look forward to reading other activity posts!

    Cheers,
    Jade C.
